Langgan

Privacy policy

Last updated 1 August 2026.

Langgan collects nothing about you. There is no account, no server holding your subscriptions, no analytics, and no third-party code in the app. This page says exactly what happens instead, and stops there.

Who is responsible

Langgan is made by Mohd Arif, in Malaysia. Questions about this policy go to support@langgan.app.

What we collect

Nothing. We do not ask for your name, email address or phone number, we do not create an account for you, and we have no database that holds anything about you or your subscriptions.

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to sell, share, transfer, profile, or hand to anyone who asks. That is not a promise about how we behave — it is a consequence of how the app is built.

What is stored, and where

Everything you enter stays in your own browser's storage on the device you entered it on. Specifically:

None of this leaves the device. Clearing your browser's data for this site, or using Delete all data in Settings, removes all of it. Deleting it is irreversible, and there is no copy anywhere for us to restore.

Cookies

Langgan sets no cookies, and there is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.

Network requests

The app downloads itself once and then runs offline. It makes no request to any third party while you use it: fonts, logos and the whole 160-service catalogue are bundled into the download, precisely so that loading a page cannot disclose which services you subscribe to. A check in our build pipeline fails the release if an unexpected external address ever appears in the shipped code.

There are two exceptions, and both are visible when they happen:

Reminders

Reminders are generated on your device by the app itself and shown by your own operating system. Nothing about a reminder — the service, the amount, the date — is sent anywhere. There is no push server. This is also why web reminders arrive when you open the app rather than in the background.

Export and import

Export writes a file containing your data and hands it to you or to your device's share sheet. Where it goes next is entirely your choice, and once it is in your files, your cloud drive or a chat message, this policy no longer governs it — the privacy of that copy is whatever the destination offers.

Cloud sync

There is none. Langgan has no sync feature today, and the app works fully without one. If sync is ever added it will be opt-in, off by default, and encrypted on your device before anything is sent — and this policy will be updated and dated before that ships, not after.

Children

Langgan is a general-purpose personal finance tool, not directed at children, and collects nothing from anyone regardless of age.

Your rights

Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 gives you rights to access and correct personal data an organisation holds about you. We hold none, so there is nothing to request, correct or delete on our side. Your own copy is in your hands at all times: you can read it in the app, export it in full, and delete it permanently, without asking us.

When the Android app arrives

This section describes something that has not shipped yet and is not in effect. The Android version will be distributed through Google Play and will offer a one-time purchase to remove the free limit. Google Play handles that payment; we never see your card details, and Google and the billing service we use to verify the purchase will receive a record of it under their own policies. Your subscription data stays on the device exactly as it does now. This policy will be updated before that release, not afterwards.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Since we hold no contact details, we cannot email you about it — checking this page is the only notice there is, which is another consequence of collecting nothing.
